A member asked:

The common side effects of provera (medroxyprogesterone) are what?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Usually none.: Provera (medroxyprogesterone) is oral progesterone, modified so it's not just digested in the stomach. It is used to control menstrual bleeding. Rarely, someone has mood changes, like depression, while taking it. Depo-provera, which is a shot, is different because it's a much bigger dose. It can cause weight gain.
