Depends: If you are taking these continuously, not having a period is one of the benefits. There is no endometrial lining to shed in this case, and therefore no menstrual period. If you would like to resume menstrual periods, you can switch to an estrogen containing birth control pill. However, menstrual periods on birth control pills are from progestin withdrawal during the "sugar pill" week.
