A member asked:

Will enough breast pumping cause a nonpregnant woman to lactate?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Breast pumps, lactai: In non-pregnant women who are adopting a newborn, a combination of pumping, prolactin and a galactologue, such as domperidone, an orphan drug, will result in lactation after a few weeks. This should be done under the supervision of a physician who is a breastfeeding expert and follow one of the available protocols.
