Toner vs Astringent: Toners and astringents are very similar in that both are used after cleansing and before moisturizing to close the pores and get rid of the extra debris and dirt not removed in cleansing. If your skin is dry or sensitive you should only use a toner as astringents maybe be too harsh. If your skin type is oily, acneic or combination astringents are best used.
