I doubt it: Type 1 diabetes implys you can no longer make Insulin most often because a virus attacked the pancreas and the injury stopped production. Newly diagnosed type 1 pts may go thru months where they make some but this fades. Once the scaring is complete, you need a source of Insulin (injections) to keep your blood sugar in line.Research may help for later but for now its permanent.
