It can be: Depends on what your problem is, what you body types is and how good your doctor is at doing them. If you are very heavy or, have had previous surgery with known adhesions, or have other medical problems like diabetes those factors can possibly complicate the surgery.

Need good surgeon: A laparoscopic or a robot-assisted total hysterectomy is a complex surgery that requires significant training and experience, especially in complicated cases like large fibroids or significant scarring due to endometriosis. Nonetheless, in skilled hands, it can be done with very acceptable risks and excellent outcomes. The recovery is much better than with the abdominal approach.

Depends: The hysterectomy would probably be a laparoscopic or laparoscopically assisted vaginal hysterectomy - and not an abdominal hysterectomy. Any surgery can be difficult depending on the patient and her anatomy - most surgeons will have no problem safely completing even a difficult hysterectomy.
