Should i use an astrigent for my face if i have acne?

Maybe: If you have oily skin, an astringent might be helpful in controlling the secretion of sebum (oil). While this will not control your acne, it will help the other medications prescribed by your dermatologist in controlling it. If you don't have oily skin, an astringent will just dry you out.
