A member asked:

After giving birth i am losing a lot of hair. what can i do to reduce hair loss and increase hair growth?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hair loss post birth: This is normal, and may continue for up to 6 or 9 months. It is called "telogen effluvium" and is temporarily induced at the end of pregnancy by the abrupt changes of hormone levels and the stress of delivery. So what is needed is patience; it will pass.
