A member asked:

How long for a mcv4 vaccine to start working?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Exact time unknown: The effectiveness studies that were published & supported approval of the vaccine efficiency were done at 28 days after dosing. Earlier response may be possible, but the vaccine is not promoted as a way to stop secondary cases(after exposure)unless used in conjunction with oral or injected antibiotics for those considered at risk.
