No usually: Body-focused repetitive behavior (bfrb) is not usually considered obsessive-compulsive disorder. Behavioral modification treatment and possibly medication is often helpful.

Cheek Biting - BFRB: This could be body-focused repetitive behavior (bfrbs) - like hair pulling & nail biting. Bfrbs can arise in response to (a) emotions (anxiety, fear, boredom, excitement); &/or (b) sensing rough areas skin (like inside of cheek/on tongue). Termed "Morsicatio": Morsicatio is the term used for chronic cheek biting. Usually this phenomenon occurs do to intense focus, intense thinking, or in some cases, neuropathy. Most often, this is a non-issue; however, some studies have shown, if done for prolonged periods, these tissues can become dysplastic. So, try to stop doing this if possible.
