Ok to get betamethasone in pregnancy?

OK for preterm risks: Betamethasone is usually given in 2 doses 24 hours apart after 24 weeks of gestation to anyone who is at risk for preterm delivery. Common candidates are women with multiples, incompetent cervix, complete previa, or anyone who has a history of preterm delivery for whatever reason. It's well studied, effective, debate still about additional courses & timing. I give a rescue dose if ptl < 32 weeks.
