Benefits vs risk: Beclomethasone is an inhaled steroid used to treat asthma and allergic rhinitis. It has a long history of use and it as well as Budesonide are the preferred topical steroids for use in pregnancy and breast feeding. The important to remember is that in asthma, if mom can breathe, then baby can't breathe. Asthma control is the key to treatment during pregnancy and inhaled steroids are the best.
