Well-known: Phosphate (which binds and lowers calcium), uric acid, and potassium are released from dying cells. During induction chemotherapy, usually leukemia / lymphoma, so many cancer cells may die off that these products can make a person sick. Today's oncologists are very familiar with handling this.
