Need Rx treatment: While there are some things you can do to ease symptoms, true strep throat requires a visit to your doctor for antibiotics. Untreated strep throat can lead to serious problems. Symptomatic care for throat pain includes: gargling with warm salt water, throat lozengers, throat spray (ie chloraseptic), popsicles/cold things and tylenol (acetaminophen). But again, please promptly see your doctor if you have strep!
