Pain and BP: Increased blood pressure can readily be a symptom of pain, especially when it is not controlled or it is anticipatory.

Sometimes: Although if you have acute fairly new pain, it can cause your blood pressure to go up, it won't always cause this. You can be in a lot of pain and have a normal blood pressure. If your blood pressure is high and thought to be due to pain, it needs to be rechecked later to be sure it went down to normal.
