Pfannenstiel/Kerr.: The most common type of skin incision for a cesarean section is called pfannenstiel - aka bikini cut. The most common type of uterine incision for a cesarean section is called kerr (lower uterine transverse). More unusual skin incisions include the midline vertical and the right paramedian vertical. Less usual uterine incisions include the kroenig (lower uterine vertical) and classical cesareans.
