Depends: Unless one has a "porcelain" aorta, which is heavily calcified, CABG is possible. But i would defer to the ct surgeon performing the operation.

Yes. : A calcified aorta typically makes the procedure more challenging, mainly because most heart surgery requires a "bypass" machine to keep blood perfusing the body. The"return" cannula is typically inserted into the root of aorta. Calcified aorta makes this harder and riskier to do. Other options exist however, the femoral artery is ofter used if aorta severe.
