Encouragement: If you are good friends, you may be able to express your concerns in a loving way in an effort to help them get help. It is most helpful to point out specific events in which you have a concern, this will help avoid generalities that are more likely to lead to a defensive response. Ultimately, your friend needs to figure out that their mood is negatively affecting others.
