By learning: Most of the hospital will teach the families ostomy stomal care, drainage bag care before discharge to home.. Ask them to help you, and they will train you. ( or visiting nurse or your doctor ) most of the equipment is disposable, do not give infection or get one use gloves, use sterile techniques.
