Infections: In common variable immunodeficiency (cvid), antibodies are not made correctly by the immune system. This leads to recurrent infections, typically of the respiratory tract (e.g., sinus infections, ear infections pneumonias). A minor percentage of people with cvid can develop lung problems, autoimmunity, and even lymphomas or leukemias. See a clinical immunologist if you have further questions.
