Your risk of use: Underwriting is a process of determining the probability of you utilizing your insurance benefits. At what level of risk do you pose to a pool of other patients who are covered under a defined benefit plan. The determination is the level of risk the insurance pool wishes to be exposed. Basically will the premiums collected from insured be adequate to pay claims against the benefits.
