A member asked:

When will my body make insulin?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

All the time: Providing you are healthy and do not have type 1 diabetes, your body is constantly making Insulin from the pancreas. Insulin is made in the beta cells of the pancreas. There is a constant, slow release of Insulin all the time. The pancreas also releases additonal Insulin rapidly after we eat in response to increasing blood glucose levels.
