A member asked:

How will insulin regulate blood glucose?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Helps use sugar: Insulin causes the cells to take up sugar from the blood allowing the body to use or store the sugar. If you have diabetes, depending on the type, you either don't make Insulin or are resistant to its use. You may then use Insulin injections to treat the elevated blood glucose levels associated with diabetes.
