A member asked:

What are the symptoms of new diabetes?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

New onset diabetes: Fatigue is probably the most common followed by the 'polys' -polyuria -excessive urination; polydipsia-excessive thirst; polyphagia-excessive hunger. Unexplained weight loss, dry mouth, blurry vision, weakness, malaise, infections particularly vaginitis all occur very commonly. Many patients find out about diabetes based on blood tests alone as symptoms are often vague and non-specific.
