It won't.: Olive oil contains monounsaturated fats, which help raise your HDL cholesterol - the "healthy" cholesterol - in your blood. High HDL levels are associated with a lower incidence of heart attacks and strokes. But the idea that olive oil can somehow "clean out your arteries" is ludicrous, no matter what dr. Oz and other pseudo-experts say.
