What types of cardiomyopathy are there?

8 doctors weighed in across 2 answers

Cardiomyopathy: There are 3 major types of cardiomyopathy: dilated, hypertrophic, and restrictive. Within these 3 major types there are a multitude of different causes. The space available here limits the discussion of all of these. Treatment and prognosis of the cardiomyopathy is dependent upon which type it falls under and on the particular cause.
