A member asked:

Is it safe to take natural remedies and conventional medications?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Maybe: Conventional meds are fda regulated, are powerful, and while they generally do what they claim, may have side effects and toxicity. But they generally are required. Natural remedies are untested, have no fda or other authority to confirm the contents of the bottle or its potency or purity. Most have few or no side effects but very, very few have any positive effects.
