A member asked:

Are natural remedies usually safer than pharmaceutical drugs?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

In the right hands: Natural doesn't necessarily mean safe. Nature has danger built in. Plants and supplements can be toxic to specific organs, and in the hands of an unskilled person might be dangerous. Many natural remedies can interact with pharmaceuticals, too. There may also be contaminants depending on source. But in the hands of a natural medicine expert, yes, generally, i believe they are.
