Complicated: The equation is: co equals bp/total peripheral resistance. If tpr is constant, co rises when BP rises but since that isn't the case, there is a complicated relationship between co and BP which tends to be unpredictable. Tpr is the resistance of the blood vessels and depends on blood viscosity, radius of the vessels to the 4th power, and length and # of vessels & depends on arteriolar tone.
