Yes, in normal doses: Use of over-the-counter milk of magnesia (magnesium hydroxide) by a breast-feeding mother, to treat her own constipation, is ok to do as long as she is following the instructions on the bottle. She need not make any changes in her baby's breast-feeding routine.
