Cx: Do a pregnancy test. If + it could be a threatened/incomplete abortion etc, will need to see ob/gyn. If - then is a matter of watching for presence of other associated symptoms and seeing a doctor for advice.

Need more info: How many days after your period did this happen? if it was within 2-3 days, it may be residual blood for the period. If you had sex since your last period and miss your period by 4-5 days, do a home pregnancy test. If the result is negative repeat the test 4-5 days later unless you get a period by then. Use first morning urine and follow the instructions for the test carefully.
