Sex chromosome: All chromosomes match each other except the x and y. The y is very short and things on the x that are abnormal can be expressed in males (who are x + y) because the abnormal one on the x has no match on the y and is "x" linked.. Females have two x's so their inheritance follows normal patterns ( although there is a technical issue called lyonization which you can look up if you need to).
