SuperAgers are…: …people who live beyond 100 y/o (in the press) who are more than twice as likely to have a variant of gene called cetp. It helps control cholesterol & protects against heart disease & dementia—a longevity gene. In some, the body ages but the brain does not keep pace; these people are alert & active in their 70s/80s/90s/100s. They are being studied to id ways to give everyone these benefits.
