As a tradesman working in dirty spaces, what should i know about hanta virus?

Rodents: Hantavirus is carried by rodents and transmitted to humans by the airborne route. Direct rodent contact should be avoided and particulate filter masks should be worn in closed spaces with poor ventilation where rodents may reside if construction/demolition work is being performed.

Hantavirus: That between 1993 (when we began surveilance in US) until January 2017 only 45 cases of Hantavirus were reported in Texas. Agree with earlier advice about using respirator when working in area were there can be rodents.
