Yes, up to a point: Aggressive reduction of low density lipoprotein (fat carrying protein) particle concentrations along with high number of functional large high density lipoprotein particle concentrations can prevent and reverse atherosclerosis, up to a point. Low blood sugar, blood pressure, not smoking, etc. Also important. However, our bodies rebuild based on previous structure - there is a limit.
