Is wine actually good for you or is it just the grape that is?

Complicated: It's unclear that all red wines are actually healthy and its generally recommended not to drink wine if you don't already. Resveratrol has not been proven in human studies to have any real benefits despite the hoopla and hyperbole. So if you drink as a woman, limit your drinks to less than 5 oz.Day and and as man to less than 10 oz/day. If you don't, don't start. Grapes are healthier than alcohol.
