What are the symptoms that result due to shaken baby syndrome?

Like the flu: Vomiting, lethargy, irritability are all signs of the sort of injury that is caused by shaking. These same signs are often mistaken for the flu. Shaking causes bleeding in and around the baby's brain that causes the symptoms. Ct scans and mris are often necessary to confirm the diagnostic impression. Other signs of injury may be present with bruising and rib and long bone fractures.

Traumatic brain inju: Shaken baby syndrome results in traumatic brain injury, involving the poles of the brain, both front and back. The result can be anywhere from mental retardation, motor handicaps, vision problems and even death.
