When will my baby be able to stand by herself?

10-12 months: As with most things babies are individuals and their development is individualized. However typically babies reach the milestone of "cruising" or standing and walking by holding onto furniture around 10 months of age. Many babies take their first steps around 1 year, but many are either before or after this time frame as well.

Yep, 9-12 months: Typical standing with support will occur at 9-12 months. Some kids, maybe even a little earlier. Remember that there is a spectrum of "normal" and if your child is slower, discuss this with you pediatrician.
