No: Most persons who need angiograms are older persons but there are congenital problems which might require an angiogram in a younger person. And in the extremely old patient, i would not exclude doing an angiogram because of age alone. Some patients even at an advanced age are quite active and may still be a candidate for aggressive management including surgery valve replacement, or stents.

No: An angiogram is a minimally invasive examination of the blood vessesl used to make a diagnosis or treat a problem diagnosed by prior noninvasive studies. It can be performed on any age as long as there are indication and the risks of the procedure outweigh any the risks.
