Plaque: Daily flossing is the best way to avoid buildup of plaque. Regular dental visits are also helpful.

Clean your teeth: Plaque is a biofilm that grows on your teeth and is mainly bacteria and food. If is stays on the teeth for a long time, it hardens into calculus which is difficult to remove. Plaque and calculus (tarter) contribute to tooth and gum disease. If you are brushingand flossing effectively, there should be little plaque. If you are not sure how effective you are, check out "listerine cool blue".
