What are the symptoms of amyloidosis?

Depends on what: Organ(s) are affected. Amyloidosis affects multiple organs, e.g., liver, kidney, heart, skin, spleen, GI tract etc. And the symptoms are due to poor function of the organ. In general, weakness, edema, persistent swelling of tongue, diarrhea, shortness of breath, and symptoms due to heart and kidney failure. There are also the symptoms of underlying disease, e.g., multiple myeloma.

Many possible : It depends on what organ(s) are involved but can include fatigue, shortness of breath, leg swelling, diarrhea, weight loss, numbness, heart rhythm problems, liver dysfunction and gastrointestinal bleeding.

The symptoms of Amyloidosis include:: Fatigue, Difficulty breathing after exercise, Distended neck veins, Enlarged liver, Low blood pressure, Lower leg swelling, Muscle weakness, Nausea, Neuropathy, Paresthesia, Enlarged tongue, Mononeuritis multiplex, Non blanching red or purple spots, Unintentional weight loss, Cramping abdominal pain.
