Venous insufficiency: In what was probably the largest study of the symptoms of venous insufficiency ever accomplished (>40000 patients), the top symptoms were pain, then heaviness, them cramping. Other symptoms included itching, burning, fatigue, ankle swelling, aching, tiredness, throbbing, and restlessness. Having symptoms that worsened as the day progressed was also very common.

Varicose veins: Varicose veins, swelling and possibly brownish discoloration of the legs. Pain and discomfort may also be associated. If you have any of these symptoms you should see your doctor and ask for vascular surgical opinion.

Leg pain: Along with heavy or tired feeling in your legs at the end of a day standing for long periods of time. Varicose veins may form. Skin inflammation can be seen in more chronic cases. Severe cases form ulcers.

Spectrum of Symptoms: The venous system in the legs consists of 3 levels-superficial, deep and perforators. Each system can lead to venous insufficiency and each can cause different symptoms: superficial-aching, heaviness, tired, pain, cramping, swelling, itching and restless legs-usually associated with vv. Deep-same symptoms with edema and brownish discoloration and skin thickening. Perforator-ulcer formation.

Venous stasis: The issue is one of vein hypertension, due to the impeded flow of blood returning to the heart, especially in the legs. This is due to incompetent valves in the veins. With increased blood pooling in the legs comes 'heavier' legs, swelling, pain from swelling, pitting in the skin, leakage of fluid and blood into the tissues, leakage of the fluid onto the skin causing maceration and destruction...

HASTI: Heaviness Aching legs Swollen legs (particularly at the ankles) Throbbing sensation Itching These are among the most reported symptoms of venous insufficiency. However these symptoms tend to be very unspecific. Also if symptoms are due to venous insufficiency they tend to get worse as the day goes by.
