A member asked:

What is the difference between a wet mount and culture?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

They are different: A wet mount is a sample of discharge that is looked at under a slide to see if it shows characteristics of a vaginal infection, a culture is also done from a discharge that is sent to a lab to see what kind of organism is causing the discharge.
