Culturalsignificance: The definition of "abnormal" behavior means behavior outside the norm. As far as diagnosis, i presume you are referring to mental illness. Behavior is certainly important in the diagnosis of mental illness, but thinking process, thought content, mood, and affect are important for diagnosis and are more independent of culture. Not all "abnormal" behavior results in a "diagnosis.".
