I have had many patients come to the urgent care for proof of pregnancy via urine or serum before seeing their ob. is this due to insurance/ doctor??

Ask 'Em Yerself!!: I don't rightly know. I'd bet some would trust the store-bought urine test and do it that way-and some either wouldn't know about it or would want a "professional" to do a pregnancy test for them (more "official"-haha) They probably figure, why go to the OB until I'm sure I'm pregnant...and ready to deliver in the truck in the hospital parking lot. Also, wouldn't hurt to ask a few of those patients why.
