D & C: Complications can occur if dead fetus is left inside and doesn't abort spontaneously. These can include infection and bleeding disorders. Don't take chances-get this minor procedure done now.

Not equal choices: Although the choice is yours , the two options are not equal (if I understand the info you gave:) if you mean it has been 6 weeks waiting for a miscarriage of a 6 week pregnancy then D&C is clearly your best option. Expectant management ("waiting" ) is fine for a period of a few weeks, but after 6 weeks the risk of infection and bleeding is unacceptably high. Not equal choices. Good wishes
