Sleep: You may have not slept for few days. Please sleep for at least 8 hrs straight.avoid caffeine .drink lot of fluids.check your BP.get a second opinion. You may have viral meningitis which may need you to get a lumbar puncture. If you had flu this could be sinus infection. E.R.: What did the ER Dr. tell you? Usually, they may do some testing or at the least examine you and tell you what you have and how to treat it and then where to follow-up. You should get a family Dr. as a PCP to care for your medical needs and then follow-up and re-examine you if you still keep getting dizzy to properly diagnose your problems. Best wishes.

Not normal indeed: Persistent symptoms even though evaluated at the Emergency Room should still be reexamined at the Emergency Room. Considering you are dizzy, falling down steps these symptoms warrant immediate care. I would call 911 and get rechecked at the same Emergency Room due to persistent symptoms and failure of outpatient treatment.
