What way is trichophyton rubrum transmitted to humans?

Trichophyton: Fungal transmission occurs through direct contact with infected persons, animals, soil or fomites. Depending on their habitat, dermatophytes are described as anthropophilic (human), zoophilic (animal) or geophilic (soil). Anthropophilic dermatophytes are the most common sources of tinea infections, but zoophilic sources should be identified (if possible) and treated to prevent human reinfection.

Ringworm fungus: This is one of many germs that can cause ringworm, jock itch, etc. in humans or warm blooded animals. It can be found in dirt, on humans or animals. If one is exposed to the spores from any source and it attaches to your skin surface, it thrives on the dead surface layer of your skin.
