A member asked:

I have been treating my green vaginal discharge for almost 2 years now but to no avail. i have been tested for various infections but all are negative?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See below:: An infection is the most common cause of a green discharge. If tests are negative for infection, I would still try antibiotics because tests aren't perfect. There are also non-infectious causes such as uterine bleeding, a fistula from the rectum to the vagina, warts, desquamitive vaginitis and atrophy. Don't hesitate to get a second opinion (and a second exam) Best wishes!
