See below:: An infection is the most common cause of a green discharge. If tests are negative for infection, I would still try antibiotics because tests aren't perfect. There are also non-infectious causes such as uterine bleeding, a fistula from the rectum to the vagina, warts, desquamitive vaginitis and atrophy.
