I have tmj & facial pain that refers to my teeth/gums. flexeril helped but gave me heart palpations. same for baclofen & robaxin (methocarbamol). what can i take?

Jaw pain: Medication is only a temporary fix for your problem. You should see a dentist who specializes in TMJ disorders who will make you a bite splint with your jaw in a relaxed position (called centric relation). Try using moist heat compresses on your jaw and take ibuprofen and as directed. I noticed you also had scaling & root planing so you may have pain in your gums due to periodontal disease.
